The deadly danger of a Palestinian state!

On Arafat’s official Fatah website we find the following statement:

“A legitimate Palestinian entity FORMS THE MOST IMPORTANT WEAPON THAT
ARABS HAVE AGAINST ISRAEL.”

Don't give the Arabs a state on Israeli territory

(See http://www.fateh.net/e_editor/01/311201.htm)

This is consistent with similar statements by Arafat.

The same day that Arafat signed the DOP agreement on the White House lawn, he spoke the following words on Jordan TV:

"Since we cannot defeat Israel in war we do this in stages.  We take any and every territory that we can of Palestine, and establish a sovereignty there, and we use it as a springboard to take more.  When the time comes, we can get the Arab nations to join us for the final blow against Israel."

In a letter to rejectionists quoted by The Jerusalem Post November 18, 1994, Arafat wrote that this agreement

“will be a jumping off point to remove the enemy from all Palestinian lands"

Note: Arafat does not even bother to say that the creation of a Palestinian State will lead to peace – or even justice – for his Palestinian people.  No, the creation of the State of Palestine will be the most important weapon the Arabs will have to use against Israel.

And who is planning to place this “most important weapon” into the hands of the Arabs to use against the Jewish people in Israel?  Why, Israel itself!!

And what will Israel do, when the international pressure mounts for its government to honour the commitment it has already repeatedly made, in its folly, to permit painful concessions, even to the point of  allowing a Muslim Palestinian state on its doorstep, if only a new, more acceptable, Palestinian leadership replaces Arafat? Such a state, even if led by a “more moderate Palestinian leadership” would still become a tool through which all the radicalised Muslim States surrounding Israel will try to dismantle the Jewish state.

In light of the dangerous rapprochement between Iran and Syria - as numerous high - level political and military leaders from both countries visit back and forth - the following pertinent question needs to be asked: In the event that a more moderate Palestinian leadership were to eventually enter into a lasting peace agreement with Israel that would split the land in two – a state of Palestine and a state of Israel – would the rejectionist nations like Iran, Iraq and Syria then give up their design on Israel’s ultimate destruction? Would they then be satisfied and accept this new reality: that Israel would be here to stay, albeit tiny in size?

The answer to this question is clear.  As they do now, these nations would then unite and round on the Palestinian leadership for having signed a peace treaty with this Zionist enemy; They would shout and rave until the newly founded Palestinian State would again becomes a willing instrument in their hands through which to bring about the destruction of this Zionist entity!

In Israel’s past, when things looked very gloomy and desperate, God in His mercy again and again raised up for Israel leaders like Gideon, Jehu and David - to name but a few - who were able to turn the tables on Israel’s ferocious enemies. It was God’s specific instruction to His depressed prophet Elijah when he was fleeing from Jezebel, that he should anoint Jehu to be the king instead of the weakling Ahab; and together with a new leadership in Damascus and the anointing of Elisha as prophet in his stead, God turned the situation in and around Israel.

Thus we pray for a new, stronger leadership, political and spiritual, in Israel - even if needs be through new general elections - that God may cause the tide to be turned in favor for His people Israel, as surely as the election of George W. Bush as president of the United States turned the tide for America!

May God bring it to pass!
